The fiche is the record for one parcel. The map shows the outline. The fiche holds what you keep about that ground: the name, the place, the farm, the crop, the year, the dates, and the photos.
Open it from the list or from the middle of the parcel on the map. A second click on the same parcel closes it. This note covers each field, and the confirmations the fiche asks before it writes.
What is always on it
The fiche shows:
- The name
- The city, when one is known
- The center of the stored line
- The weather, when it is available
- The farm
- The crop
- The variety
- The campaign year
- The cycle dates
- The photos
The city is shown only when one is known. An empty city is not a missing field you have to fill before the fiche will save. The weather line appears when weather is available for that place. If it is absent, the rest of the fiche still works.
The center is the center of the outline, not a pin you drop by hand. Move the outline if the center is wrong. Outline, with the other actions, starts Edit outline. While you edit, the stroke is orange.
Name
Click the name to rename the parcel. The name in the list and the name along the north edge of the map, on a computer, follow that change. A phone does not draw the name on the map. The list still shows it.
Saving a change asks first. Until you confirm, the previous name stays.
Farm, crop, variety, campaign, fertilizer
Farm, crop, variety, campaign, and fertilizer are chosen from a menu. Each value has a photograph, in a small circle, so you can tell two rows apart without reading every label.
The Farm menu lists the farms on this account, with their photo. A parcel can be attached to one of those farms. Creating the farm is a separate step, on the manage page. If the menu is empty, no farm has been saved on this account yet.
The crop is the crop on the parcel. If a crop was detected when you added the outline, it is already filled. You can change it.
Other opens a short text when the list cannot name the case. Use it for a crop, a variety, or a fertilizer that is not in the menu. The short text is what gets stored. The fiche does not replace it with a nearby name from the list. A crop name you type is refused above 80 characters.
Fertilizer is one of: Not set, None, Organic, Mineral, Organo-mineral, Foliar, or Other. Other asks which fertilizer, in a short text. Not set means you have not chosen. None means you chose none. They are not the same row.
A crop already stored under an older name, such as Vigne, still counts as a vine. The menu shows it as Vine. Wheat and corn are the other named crops. Empty is No crop yet.
Campaign is a year around the current year. Pick the campaign this parcel is in. It is not the planting year, and it is not the harvest date.
Dates
Sowing, harvest, and the planting year open in a calendar.
Sowing appears only when the crop is sown. A vine does not show a sowing date. A vine shows the planting year instead. Corn and wheat take a sowing date when you set one. Harvest is the harvest date for this campaign.
Leave a date empty if you do not know it yet. The fiche does not invent a sowing day or a planting year.
The pencil on another line edits that line. Use it to change one field without opening the outline.
Photos
Photos sit with the fields. The photos and the square for adding one are the same size, with the same top edge. They wrap onto more rows when the list gets narrower.
That square is labeled Add or drop a photo to upload it. A photo can be dropped only on that square. While it is dragged over the square, the border is dotted. A drop on the rest of the fiche does nothing.
Removing a photo asks for confirmation. The question is Delete this photo? Until you confirm, the photo stays on the parcel. Confirming removes it from this parcel only.
A photo has to be a JPEG, PNG, or WebP file under 4 MB. Anything else is refused. A parcel holds 8 photos. Past that, the fiche says this parcel already has 8 photos. No photos yet is the empty line. Choose a parcel first if you try to add a picture with no fiche open.
These photos are the ones you attach to the record. They are not the pictures taken on a 3D walk. Walk pictures stay on that walk, and they show up when you open a square of the field surface.
Layout
The map and the menu stay the height of the window. Only the list scrolls. Drag the edge between the list and the map to change the width. Double-click restores the original width. Actions and fields follow that width, so a narrow list wraps the photos and stacks the fields. A wide list keeps them on fewer rows.
A click in the list puts the top of the opened fiche at the top of the list. That includes the last parcels. You should see the name and the first fields without hunting for them under the fold.
Close hides the fiche. The parcel stays on the map and in the list. Close is not delete.
Confirm before you write
Three actions ask before they change the record:
- Saving a change
- The trash can, which deletes the parcel
- Removing a photo
The trash can removes the parcel from this account. The farm it belonged to keeps its name. Alerts that pointed at it no longer have a parcel name to show. On the alerts page that row says Parcel removed.
What the fiche is not
The fiche is not the field surface. Pale squares, the walk, and a Mini 4 Pro pass are drawn on the map after a scan. The fiche does not list those pictures in the photo row.
The fiche is not a second outline. The shape is edited with Outline. The fields are edited in place.
The 3D button on the fiche starts a walk, or shows a code for the phone, depending on the width of the screen. That flow is separate from renaming, dating, and attaching photos. You can fill the fiche before any walk exists. A parcel with no scan keeps the flat outline on the map.
